Just picked up this lil nug of a camera. Shootin’ around with it and impressed by the results it was able to yield.
I stumbled upon this series of photographs I shot a couple years ago. This series explores the ways a photograph serves as a document specifically through portrait photography. Other themes addressed include the correlation between a documenter and its subject, the idea of relationships and community, and a persons’ identity through notions of “home” or domestic space.
Each subject received a print of their respective portraits.
Pomegranate Cooler
1 large container with a lid (I used a 32 oz mason jar)
a generous handful of ice
24 oz of filtered or sparkling water*
12 sweet mint leaves
3 oz pomegranate juice
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
Combine all the ingredients into your container, shake, and enjoy!
Sweeten to taste, if desired.
*My main motive for making this is to stay hydrated in this crazy, humid heat, so I’m going to be drinking a lot of this. However, if you are craving something a little sweeter, try using your favorite ginger ale or lemon lime soda.
Admittedly, these are generally the same ingredients for pomegranate mojitos, but I’m waiting for my brother to come over sometime soon to make those, haha!
I’d love to hear how you are staying hydrated!
